Fiona3
Fiona had the splenectomy performed on Weds. and is doing very well. Her blood pressure was extremely high during the time she was in the hospital. After spending some time with her yesterday afternoon and feeding her some chicken and rice from home, her pressure went down dramatically. It was decided she would recuperate faster with us so we were able to bring her home. She is eating well, resting and looking so much better just sleeping on her own bed. It will be 1-2 weeks before we know the results of the biopsies on her spleen and kidneys. Hopefully there will be good news and we can put this behind us. Please keep good thoughts that we will hear that beautiful word - BENIGN! So glad that she is home with the family and all that TLC we know she will receive from the family. I know that this has been a roller coast ride for the family since Tasha went to the bridge. Fiona3
Mary many positive thoughts and prayers going to you, the family and especially Fiona. So glad that she is home with the family and all that TLC we know she will receive from the family. I know that this has been a roller coast ride for the family since Tasha went to the bridge. Sending love and hugs and kisses for Fiona. It has been a very stressful 3 months since we lost Tasha. I miss her every day and worrying about Fiona has been mixed in with my heartache over the loss of our beautiful white greyhound. It is comforting to see Fiona bouncing back from this surgery and hopefully the days ahead will bring good news. Her incision looks clean without complications and she seems more alert as the day goes on. Thank you everyone for all your good thoughts. Fiona is our special little bounce who came to us to heal our hearts after the loss of our elegant fawn Lucy. We knew she was a keeper from day one.
