Cully Posted January 19, 2010 Share Posted January 19, 2010 (edited) My mom called me this afternoon to let me know that one of the hounds that we dog sit for was help to the bridge by her mom & dad. I'm not sure what her racing name was. Just found her racing name Fliowa Whizzer She has been staying with us off and on for several years. She was a very sweet little girl. She had a very high pitched whine and bark. You could tell she lived on a farm. She loved to get up at 4:30 or 5 am. She also like to bark at the squirrels. She would also let you know when it was time to eat. She love to lay on the little brown sofa that we had here. When Sunni first started coming to stay her she wasn't suppose to get on the furniture. Well, after about 4 year of that she all of a sudden jumped up on the sofa. We asked her dad about this and he said that they had given up on keeper her off the sofa. If someone was sitting on "her sofa" she would just come over and look at them until they moved. She was here up until last night for 8 days. She just wasn't acting like herself. Her mom said that she had pinched a nerve or something in her neck. She wasn't eat like she normally did when she was here. We put her on canned food and that seemed to help. She had bad teeth. She had 2 dentals a year and her dad brushed her teeth everyday. I told her parents what was going on last night when they picked her up. They took her to the vet this morning and did blood work. Sunni was in Kidney failure. They didn't want to put her thru anymore and made that very hard choice to let her go. She is going to be buried on the family farm. Run free sweet baby.
