Guest lynne893 Posted September 12, 2009 Share Posted September 12, 2009 Timber had been doing so well for about 3 weeks on Prednisone, and we were counting ourselves so lucky for every day. Then last night I could tell something wasn't quite right because she wouldn't settle down or lay still. She kept laying and getting up again, panting, needing to go out (pooped 4 times between 5pm and 5am). Refused her breakfast this morning. As soon as I arrived at work, DH called and said she threw up pretty solid-y greenish colored chunky food mixed in vomit. about 16 oz worth. I think it's because we've been feeding her lots of crap. Marshmallows (just 3 big size ones), spoonfulls of Cool Whip, letting her lick an empty peanut butter jar, in addition to her regular food. In short, I think we've been spoiling her too much! So the vet said to fast her today and let her rest, which she has been doing. I cheated this evening and gave her a little plain pasta noodles- just a little- because she seemed hungry. I just hope that this isn't the start of the end. I know the start of the end has already started since her diagnosis, but you know what I mean. Please think a good thought for Timber. He had good and not so good days. Some foods did not agree with him. He did best on canned. Kibble he would throw up undigested. Keep track of what she can and can not eat, it will help a lot.
