Bluesky Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 We've been going through a lot around here lately. Cali got through her surgery on the 9th just fine and we brought her home on the 12th. She learned to do stairs But then we had a set back. The site of the IV in her rear leg became infected and the vets were even talking about it being "flesh eating disease". She had to go back and stay at the vet this past Monday night so they could monitor her leg. She's back home now, but we still have to bring her in daily for bandage change and monitoring. I'm not surprised she learned the stairs so quickly, this is one feisy motivated girl. Cali and Foxy were a dangerous combination. Once when we dog sat for Vicky, Cali got the food open for a treat and Foxy opened the door to the yard. As Vicky said "take out!" She's started roaching again and is now almost as involved in the daily goings on in the house as she was pre amp! The surgeon has said that we can now do her bandage changes at our regular vet's office, so that's a time saving relief as well as a big improvement for our puppy girl. I'm so happy that her feisty spirit that was once the bane of my existence has come in handy along her rough road to recovery.
