Just like you were kicked in the gut, and your heart hurts, and it hurts to breathe. All that after the numbness wears off. Words seem so hollow. However, I can tell you that in time, the rawness of the pain will subside. The wound will scab over, but it will leave a scar. Her story was incredibly, eerily similar to what happened to Nate a couple of years ago. Same horrible abdominal tumor. TOTALLY unexpected. I've been searching my heart and mind for words that might give you some comfort, but I'm still coming up blank. I know the heartbreak of losing a young hound so suddenly and unexpectedly.
