I really hope Kool Aid is okay. The link someone else posted above gives good instructions for how to rewarm, based on body temp. Please do talk to your vet also.

Just to give you some idea, the iggy that was missing over the weekend was 12 lbs. He was out for 66 hours. Temps ranged from around 30 to below 0F and he didn't even have any frostbite. Hopefully, Kool Aid was just chilly and didn't suffer any permanent damage.

Please give us an update when you can.

Hugs,

Donna

Hoping for an update.

I've forgotten my hounds outside before, and I worry a lot that I'll somehow forget someone in the extreme cold we're having now. It can happen so easily, and most of our guys won't bark to let us know they want to come in. This will remind me every time to do an extra nose count.

Koolaid, please be ok!

We've done the same thing, especially with the one that just putters around (even in the cold). We do nose counts daily but one can slip by for a few minutes. This was a good reminder for us to pass on to all family members.

Fingers crossed here for a good update!

Hope he's OK.

We've made an error and left one of ours outside too for a short time (although not in those temperatures, luckily). It's an easy mistake to make when there are multi dogs in the house.

Deerhounds Darcy, Duffy, Grace & Wellington, Mutts Sprout & Buddy, Lurchers Ned & Jake plus Ella the Westie + cats. Remembering Del, Jessie, Maddison, Flo, Sally, Stanley, Wallace, Radar, Mokka, Oki cat, Tetley, Poppy & Striker.

Hey everybody

Thanks for all the advice, by the time I got home Kool Aid was just fine. My DBF checked him over and this morning he is fine. My DBF got attitude from Kool Aid for awhile but he slept with us and we have been checking everything from top to bottom and he is greyt!

Whoaaa what a scare!

Sorry I did not update last night. I left work and came home to just cuddle with the boy!
