Here at OSU we would not do surgery, but rather an ultrasound-guided needle aspirate, that doesn't even require sedation and is as likely to give us an answer. The main reason: if it is lymphoma, MH, or histoplasmosis, surgery is usually unnecessary. Please call us (or have your vets call) at 614-247-6757 if we can be of help. I have a message for the surgeon here to call me as soon as he arrives and I'm trying to contact the office manager that I've been working with to try to get this message to them........... Oh..... I'm a nervous wreck!
