patricia
Oh boy...our poor little girl was playing with her ball and chasing it all over the place...her ball landed on an electrical cord and I think that when she picked her ball up she bit the cord as well. THE GSOD. Scared us to death...she bit through the cord pretty good. She seems fine and I don't see any burns in her mouth or on her tongue. Right now she is just kind of subdued and quiet. I think she got zapped pretty good. She did take a cookie and her heart rate and breathing is fine...we are watching her. Quote Patti-Mommy of Lady Sophia 7-28-92 - 8-3-04... Stoney
My cat did that once - but she was actively chewing on the laptop cord (stupid cat). I didn't realize it until I heard her yelp - which is a weird noise for a cat to make! Quote ClayGreys
Guest FullMetalFrank
Oh, poor Pave! I hope she will be OK. I wonder if you should take her in just in case (but I know you guys would if you thought there was any doubt...) I have been zapped a few times and it feels pretty yucky for awhile after. I can only imagine how it would be for a dog who doesn't grasp what exactly happened! Give her a kiss from us; feel better, Pave'!

patricia
Pavé Maria is totally fine and as "Unsaintly" as ever! What is interesting is: She wants nothing to do with her ball now...HOWEVER she has gone over several times to look at the electrical cord which I have given her a NO...that concerns me! No burns that we can see in her mouth...eating well and all bodily functions are A-ok! Quote Patti-Mommy of Lady Sophia 7-28-92 - 8-3-04... LaceyLaine 8-2-94-12-5-07... Guest luckydog
You'll need to replace that electrical cord. It's now got a short in it and is dangerous.

Guest KennelMom
Scary!!!! Glad to hear she's no worse for wear (except a new found fear of her ball ) I'm hyper paranoid about shocks...I put those plastic outlet plugs in all the open outlets b/c I've had this (probably unfounded) fear that a dog will stick their tongue or a toe (while roaching) in one.
