Guest EaglesMom Posted May 26, 2008 Share Posted May 26, 2008 Thank you so much, everytime I start to cry and believe me, if is often, I think of others that have lost their animals to Osteo and know that I am not alone in my pain. I have this God awful ache that I know will lessen in time and I am trying so very hard not be sad, but happy for two year fun filled ride I had with my Chief. I have to admit, I often got furious thinking about him being in four other homes prior to mine, and wondering how could anyone give up such a great dog, but if they didn't, I would never have had the opportunity of loving him. I often hoped that when people met Chief and realized his age and the fact that he was 11 when we adopted him, that they would change their mindset about adopting a senior. It truly is not about the quantity of time, it is the quality and my time with Chief, was platinum. I honestly pray that he is having a blast at the bridge and is making everyone laugh as hard as he made me laugh. Thanks for your support and kind words, it helps a lot!
