nyGreys Posted July 20, 2007 Author Share Posted July 20, 2007 Things haven't been going to well since Rusty ate on Mon. I took him to the vets Tues. night because he had fluids collecting under the skin on his stomach the vet on call took a sample from it and took his temp., which was ok, she wanted me to bring him back Wed. so my regular vet could check him out. My regular vet took a stitch out and opened the incision and drained the fluid out...about 3 hours after I got him home it was filled again, so back to the vet Wed. He drained it again and took more blood tests. Plus Rusty didn't eat hardly anything Wed. which made me very nervous. He threw up his pills I gave him yesterday morning, and wouldn't eat, then threw up at the vets later. Vet drained the fluid again, said his liver & kidney tests looked better than they did before, just about normal. I wish I knew what's making him so sick? He was also pacing through the house and going to a corner or behind a chair and just standing there, like he didn't know where he was. Wed. night he paced from about 6:00pm til 2:00 am. He looked so sad. Last night he seemed to rest a little more and didn't pace, and this morning he got up and went out then came back in and lay down, before it seemed like it hurt him to lay down? I am so emotionally drained, I can only imagine how he feels, thank god last night he slept so I could get some sleep. He has an app't. today at 1:00. Gosh I could use some good news. I wish he would eat, he did eat a little piece of his chicken jerky this morning, I showed the vet what they were, they are 97% fat free and if all else fails he usually will eat one of those. But he didn't even want those yesterday, that really made me nervous. Sorry this is so long. Please send prayers for a better day today.
