I don't know if it's like mini seizures or brief episodes where the blood just isn't getting to the brain as well. The last time I had her in for a wellness check, the vet just shook his head and couldn't believe she's still here. She's got so much regurge from those worn out heart valves that he said she's really high risk for a stroke because blood will pool and clot when not pumping properly She's got no visible signs of fluid retention right now. Since she's such a lean dog, it would be easy to notice. No coughing either. She's had a decent day today, and eaten well for the most part. She still gets her daily car rides taking Amber to work and picking her up. We usually take the long way home so she can really let those ears flap in the wind Her eyes do look more 'tired' for lack of a better description. Neighsayer Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 Glad today was a better day. Hope you have many more. My 13 year old chow has periods of senility. Sometimes I will find her with her head facing the corner and she doesn't seem to realize where she is. She still goes out with me 2x day when I feed the horses and other critters. Sometimes when I open the door for her to go out she goes on the wrong side of the door and ends up in the house but behind the door. I have to lead her back around the door to get her out.
