    Ruby

So sorry for this loss and grief, from another momma to a "Ruby" she sounds like a wonderful girl... so glad for her time with you and her brother.
  2. We first met you at independence Park on the beach... so so sorry for this tragic loss of beautiful True. Prayers for your grief.
  3. I know Kingsley feels empathy towards people... once there were children playing in the neighborhood doing that little-kid shriek that could be either utter joy or else "I'm being murdered" and Kingsley ran from window to window to try and find where the screams were coming from while looking at us like, "help them... do something"
  4. Just seeing this today... so sorry sorry for this loss and grief of your beautiful Brandee. Thank you for all the gorgeous photos you share.
  5. So, so saddened to see his name... many prayers for you and your grief
  6. I'm not sure how I missed this until now.... 2 in one day.... I cannot imagine your grief and loss. Thank you for all the advice and intelligent support you provide for us on GT.. I hope you can receive some comfort from all of your "virtual" friends in this horrible time.
  7. Oh how tragic... I am so sorry for this loss of Roo
  8. Time... and maybe be sure to give him some one-on-one time so that he knows the baby is not replacing him. But I bet in a month or so he will warm up to this new and different family member.
  9. Ours whine and their noses drip, out of excitement. And for longer cars rides, once we are on the highway they settle down and just lie there. I would suggest a stop of two to get out and stretch their legs a bit... but I bet he will love the trip with his "new" family.
  10. Our Kingsley often eats only one meal per day especially during the hot summer. Now, Ruby would not dream of skipping meal... or finishing her brother's if possible!
  11. Congrats on the new house! We dream of a yard some day.
  12. Yeah, our greys seem to wait until we get home to drink as well. That's often the first thing they do, stop and drink-up before being taken outside!
  13. My heart dropped when I saw the topic title... so sorry for this loss.
  14. I'll just chime in that our girl pulled a bit when we first got her but when we switched to a harness for her she stopped pulling... maybe it was just former training that she knew to "behave" when in the harness. And did make keeping her "at the heel" easier since we did not need to "choke" her to do this.
  15. I think you already go there, but we love Beverly Natural Animal Health.
  16. Kingsley's tummy girgles loudly at night some times and a piece of bread calms it down. And it seems if his tummy gets too empty (?) that is when he might throw up some bile in the morning.
  17. Great idea GeorgeofNE on the cardboard. I was going to second, or third, the whole stand behind him and move his paws one-at-a-time till he gets the motion down. Down was much scarier for our dogs and for me, so that is great that he's able to go down without attempting to jump the entire lot. Took Kingsley about a week to master up and a month to get down (but we also have scary curved stairs) while Ruby, our second conquered both within days since she is much more outgoing and had Kingsly to watch.
  18. Welcome from the North Shore
  19. Just to reassure you that others have been there... our shy boy Kingsley was "scared of the world" and did not like to leave our property for walks. He too was not interested in any food while in his state of fear/concern/attention/statueing. We would take him outside very often though and just stand with him so that he could slowly get accustomed to this new world. It was months, like 6 or more until he would go for a walk, and he did best if the "whole pack" was with him. He also would gladly walk if we drove him somewhere (even just down the street) so we used that technique a lot so that he had more-and-more positive encounters with the world. But you just need to know it may be a long-slow road... but you all will figure one another out and it will get better. (he also got much braver when we got a second) best to you
  20. She's adjusting very quickly, so I bet she is comfortable with your husband in no time. Our shy boy Kingsley peered around corners at people for years... but now he runs to the door to greet whomever has just come in.
  21. I'm so sorry for the sooner-than-expected departure of Bandit. But you wrote a wonderful tribute to him and sounds like you knew it was the right time, which is a gift. Prayers for you
