  1. Oh I'm so sorry you had to leave her that way... my heart/stomach knows the feeling and I hope she is home with you soon so that she can heal body and spirit
  2. It is so good to see her resting with you, and just awesome how you have been able to reorganize your home for her recovery. I too love the bendy nose action going on!
  3. Yeah Polli! It is so good to hear of improvements in all your sleeping, and her comfort, and that photo sums it all up!
  4. A bandage, a muzzle and 24 hour babysitter... this seems insane to me that putting her down has become an option.
  5. So sorry for your long sad night. I hope the two of you can sleep soundly today and that she feels much better having her pain meds more often.
  6. Oh NO! I am so sorry not only for the trauma you are having to go through, but the timing of it as well. I am so so sorry to have this time of joy and new-life now be shadowed by possible cancer in sweet Argos.
  7. Yeah Polli! These greys amaze me at how well they heal. She will be so happy to come home to her momma and her pack!
  8. I'm so glad to know she's "ok" and that someone will be with her all night. Will be anxious to hear about her coming home on Saturday!
  9. Oh my gosh! This has all happened so quickly and ended up being so much more than I ever would have thought from a trip and whine. Oh I am so sorry and send prayers for Miss Polli and her amazing pack.
  10. Oh No! Coby is one of my GT-dogs. He is even part of my screen-saver montage of photos... he and Free running at a fun-run. My heart goes out to you... I am so sorry for this loss
  11. Welcome from MA. Been to North Pole... twice actually... but only in the summer... I would like to experience Alaska in the winter
  12. Ruby woke us up screaming last night. She walked around the bedroom with that "I am being ripped apart with pain" scream. I felt her all over asking her to tell me what hurts and then she just walked back to her bed, and curled up. Could she possibly have been sleep-walking? She's totally normal this morning, and I've asked her to please not do that again.
  13. Greetings from ocean-side Beverly, MA
  14. Kingsley broke his hock to end his career. They did not set it at all, so it healed oddly, but besides some stiffness he has been fine (he's now 8) I would totally get another broken-legged dog.
  15. Kingsley did this and since it still looked raw after a couple days our vet put a couple stitches in it which did help it heal quickly, and for some reason he left it alone and let it heal!
  16. OH, after reading all about her, and "getting to know her" I am so sorry for this loss. You and your family have taught us so much about greyhound love between both humans and other greyhounds. Many prayers for your pack as your mourn her loss (big hugs to Andy)
  17. I understand these triumphs... our Kingsley used to be so scared after storms or fireworks that he would not want to leave the house for a month.. then is decreased to "forcing" him out for a week after the trauma, and now, he goes right out with glee the following morning. (this is over 3 years)... so yeah-yeah for Ernie's bravery! May it continue!
  18. OH Wally, I am so sorry... you and Wally were the first local GT people we met, I believe, and I am so so sad for this grief you are going through. Many thoughts and prayers for you and your time with sweet Wally
  19. Is it hot where you are? My guy Kingsley eats much less in the heat. But a visit to the vet is always best!
  20. We had the same reaction in both our hounds with Advantix and switched to Frontline and have not had problems with that. Must just be hound-to-hound differences.
  21. The tooth-count came to 14! But he has already returned to his normal-self... he greeted us this morning with the standard tail-circles and rolling over on his back... and he wanted to go for a full-walk. I know he will be fine eating soppy-food, and I bet will end up much more comfortable.
  22. Just got a call from my husband that Kingsley will be ready to come home after 4, and the vet-tech said he lost "a lot" of teeth... guess I'll see what that means when I get home. Thanks for all your good thoughts!
