  1. Yeah! From our RubyRoo to yours!
  2. I would not worry about this until a future test would really indicate several kidney levels being off. Greys do have higher-than-average creatine levels, and that reading alone also should not cause panic. Really, not worth worrying about at all (and this is coming from a true worrier)
  3. So glad for your diagnosis... both that it was not cancer, and just so that you do know what you are dealing with. Now we just need to pray that the right food can be found for Beau and his tummy.
  4. I bet if he did eat 2 meals for himself that that could be enough to throw his digestive system off for a couple days. I bet he feels really bad about having to go inside. Hopefully he will be all better if not today then thru the weekend.
  5. I have sad it before , and I will say it again.... I hope to never have to meet Dr Couto, but I am so glad that he is there! What an amazing development for Monty and You! Yippee
  6. I was gonna say the same thing as Trudy.

    Klem

I'm just seeing this now.... my husband and I have only met you and Klem a couple of times on GA walks, but always loved his expression/spirit. I am so sorry for this loss My husband and Klem at Crane Beach... 2005?
  8. Glad she seems fine this morning... neither she nor you need any more stress!
  9. I couldn't believe it when I saw your post in health and medical yesterday... I am sure you cannot believe this is happening either. It did make me smile and cry to hear about your trip to McDs... many prayers for you and your family.
  10. Kingsley's hip does this now-and-then... it is such a loud cracking/popping... but it never lasts long, and I have not found a pattern to when it does this. I hope it is just "getting older" (he's 8) as he does not seem in any distress when it does happen.
  11. I just wanted to reiterate what WinterWish said earlier... that is it just a hungry tummy rumble, makes him uncomfortable, he goes outside, eats grass, feels worse... and on and on. Mine get grumbly tummies sometimes late at night, and a half a piece of bread always settles them down. Is he interested in food at 4am? Might a little snack help? So sorry for all the worries in your household!
  12. I am so sorry for this trauma and shock. Gino's passing was sudden and a shock... this completely came out of nowhere. Many prayers for you
  13. I would definitely wash the beds again in your normal detergent.... that would be my first guess as to the cause since the itching came on after the bed-wash.
  14. So sorry that today was the day. Many prayers for you and your pack
  15. I'm another one who gasped when she saw this thread. Miss Nellie was the first GT Greyhound I followed thru treatments with osteo. I watched her on her webcam, and mourned her death. I cannot believe your family is having to go thru this again. Many prayers for all of you.
  16. Didn't realize he had been limping for a week... good to get it all checked out!
  17. So glad he is on his way home. Wish you had some definite answers about what is wrong, but so glad you two can snuggle up together tonight
  18. So glad he is coming home tonight. Many prayers for his diagnosis and recovery, and your strength!
  19. Before we jump to cancer... could he just be needing to adjust to his shorter nails? Could he have gotten used to walking on the "scary" floors with his nails clicking, and now that they don't touch, maybe he just feels unbalanced? Just an idea, since it sounds like he is fine on other surfaces, where he might have more traction
  20. Kingsley (our broken hock dog) will sometimes limp some after heavy exertion.... I would hold-back on play that does lead to the limping, but if he does not seem in great distress over it, I would not worry. You could also keep doggie aspirin, or other pain pill your Dr was comfortable with to give him for a day or 2 after a more intense workout. But I should say, in general we keep Kingsley from getting to that point if at all possible. And we've had him for 3+ years, so you will probably see this happen "forever"
  21. We had that problem with Advantix, but not Frontline. If you think there's a connection, I'd switch drugs next month.
  22. I've heard of others amputating a toe that won't stay in place... and I don't believe it ends up being a big deal. Hope she heals well!
  23. Thank you so much for sharing all these updates with us! Yeah Polli!
  24. We adopted Kingsley only 1 month after he had broken his hock, and it had only been wrapped. He would walk on it, but hoped on three legs for anything else. We did meet with an orthopedist to see if we should do surgery, but her opinion was that he would not get any worse if we did not do the surgery. He still (3+ years later) stands on three legs, but uses all three for everything with only a rare limp (often in the mornings) He has had glucosamine added to his food since we got him and know that that makes a difference (as we stopped once to see and he had a hard time lying down) I would totally get another broken-legged dog... so do not worry about your new addition. She may not need or be able to walk far and hard as others, but that seems to be it!
