  1. Oh sweet Kristen. It is kind-of a blessing to know that you are not grieving alone, but you and Kristen can comfort each other.
  2. Kingsley does this too... drinking too fast and all. We too try and distract him every few gulps. I've just taken it to be part of the territory.
  3. Oh I am so sorry. And to know he was failing and leaving him at the hospital... so hard for us mommas to do, but you did the right thing. I too wish you had had another week with Buddy to just snuggle the days away and eat his favorite things.... will pray for your healing after this trauma.
  4. Oh I am so sorry for this sadness and stress of having to watch her struggle. Hope you can snuggle lots today
  5. Oh, Nancy, I am just seeing this now, and sweet-sweet Sprite! I am so glad she is home and doing so well after her surgery. I am glad to know your screen name now too, as I took a photo of Sprite when we walked with you at a recent TBH, and she is just so pretty! more healing prayers coming to you! Amy, Tim and Kingsley
  6. Keep us updated as to what you learn. Prayers for you and Finn
  7. No advice... just thoughts and prayers Had Kingsley needed to have had bone removed from above his eye in Feb, Karen Pastor at the Mass Vet Referral Hosp in Woburn would have been who would have done it. We think very highly of her and her bedside manner and talent at her surgical techniques.
  8. Sorry he's stinky.... I might check out with a vet too, as Kingsley has been the least dog-smelling dog I've ever had (even when wet). He's had either 2 or 3 baths in the 2 years we've had him.
  9. I never come to Remembrance, cause I shouldn't cry at my computer at work, but I knew many had lost dogs recently and I thought I should check that out when I saw this post. Miss Nellie was one of the first dogs I "followed" when I joined GreyTalk and watched her on web-cam, and prayed for her and watched her successes and eventual parting. I cannot believe it has been a year, and knowing as I how I will never forget her (and I never met her) I know you and your family will never forget that special girl!
  10. Oh my... how scary. I'm glad she is with people that know what they are doing and are making step-wise progress to find out what is wrong with her. Many prayers for Felicia, and you, at home without her.
  11. Welcome Home Quinn! Handsome boy... where did you adopt him from? You should check out trailboundhounds.org who have greyhound walks every Saturday in SE Mass.
  12. What a sweet write-up. I am so sorry for your loss.
  13. Oh my goodness, the photo of your two completely in each other's arms, sleeping... tooooo cute!
  14. I will agree with the others here to find another group! But do plan on taking some vacation days when you first get your hound to get them used to being left alone, and for all day.
  15. Thank you for the great photos to remember Tyler by, and for sharing your journey with all of us so that if and when the time comes that we too have to make these hard decisions, we will have learned something from your experiences.
  16. Kingsley actually falls asleep when I do his nails. He loves to have his feet rubbed, and will drift off into la-la land whenever I stroke his feet.

    Sad News

Too young... so sad, all I can add are my prayers for her family and her dogs.
  18. I am so sorry for this loss at TOO young an age. And poor-poor Buoy.. that makes me sad thinking about his being alone. You and Wally heaps lots of love on him this weekend (and your aunt and uncle)
