    I once asked a vet if I should wake my (first) dog when she was having a bad dream, and her response was, "How do you know it's a bad dream?" Err.... So I'm with greysmom--I leave them alone. ETA: I think mine would like to be cuddled when they wake up too, so I'm not sure that's a sign of a bad dream.

    Cal was OK until the bandage came off today. This afternoon she got 3 different variations of boot off. If she does it again, she'll be muzzled too. My vet warned me that if she walked without a boot, she'd open it up. It's going to take a while. I hope both girls heal quickly and without incident.

    Edie. I miss her. My heart goes out to all, especially those with more than one on the list. I thought--given their ages--I was going to lose a few in 2012, but I guess it will be this year instead. Thank you for the list Ducky.

    Cal shares her pain. Yesterday she was running in the yard and sliced her left rear foot between the middle toes--up one toe, around the bend, and down the other. We're trying glue. And a pressure bandage. And pain meds. Sigh.

    I'm so sorry to hear this. FWIW, we're using Zantac (ranitidine) 3X / day for Jessie. She also gets sub-q fluids, as well as the standard kidney support meds.

    I am so very sorry. Jilly Bean was a force, and your home--and GreyTalk--will not be the same without her. I wish she could have stayed for her party. I'm glad she had a good long run with you, but I wish it had lasted much longer. Godspeed Jilly Bean.
