I've had two on it long term (both for backs), and have used it for others as needed (other joints). Haven't had any problems and have definitely seen improvements, especially for backs.

Perhaps the oncologist will disagree. But whatever happens, I hope you and Trooper have lots of good days ahead. -
The injection could have had an impact, especially if it was dex. It's not unusual for a dog with an upset gut to drink a lot and then be unable to hang on. If you can get his system under control, the problem might resolve. And, as macoduck said, it's always helpful to rule out a UTI.
