I'm so very sorry it was time for Onyx to leave you. He was a beloved hound and knew he owned your heart. May you always feel his loving spirit with you.
Most likely the Pred would cause stomach upset, vs. the tramadol. Maybe get a prescription for Sulcrafate to coat his stomach prior to medicating? It's stronger than Pepcid. Sending more prayers...
Holding your baby boy in my prayers, surrounded by healing light. May the surgery and recovery be smooth and uneventful. Get plenty of rest before he's released to come home.
Welcome to GT! Had to look your city up on a map since it was a new one to me. Do you rescue greys from the Tucson track? Look forward to hearing some stories about your gang!
I'm so very sorry. It breaks my heart to hear about another precious houndie with OS. Pain management is crucial for Raymond's quality of life. Suggest you join the Circle of Grey, a yahoo group that deals mainly with OS diagnoses. Holding your baby boy in my prayers...
When my vet screened for fungal diseases, it was via a blood test (a couple of years ago). Maybe your boy had exposure to VF when he was sent for training? Holding your precious boy in my prayers.
I'm so very sorry... and losing two within a short time is heartbreaking, too. I cry every time I hear about another OS victim. Godspeed, sweet Tansi... Run like the wind with the angels.
Carla, my deepest condolences to you for the loss of your two boys. I feel fortunate and honored to have met Bart recently (and instantly fell in love with the wobbly ol' fella ). Godspeed and run like the wind with the angels...
