    My three osteo dogs have been in the 9 1/2 to 10 yr. old range, and only survived 6 weeks from the first limp. Very aggressive cancer. Adequate combo of pain med + NSAID made them pretty comfortable until the end. Good pain management is critical.

    My heart aches for you. I know that pain of having to make the final decision for a beloved hound all too well, followed by their huge absence. Your dream definitely sounds like a sign. Dreams are an easy way for our angels to visit. Your baby boy is in the best of company, free of pain.

    I'd definitely get her to a vet. A chest x-ray would be good, and also get LP (laryngeal paralysis) ruled out. Sure sounds like she's grieving mightily. Sending light and prayers her way.
