I have three with gray teeth. In our case, I'm not sure about the tetracycline as puppy and I know distemper was not an issue with the Moms. I am firmly convinced that our discolored teeth came from crappy well water as puppies. Our guys teeth seem fairly healthy otherwise. I have definitely had a Grey with crappier teeth.

But you know you really want to get in trouble.

I get mine from a health food store, not particular brand though. If you want Marin or Denamarin, check here. Both are good and these prices are awesome!! You do not need a script for either supplement. My holistic Vet sells and swears by Standard Process products. You can find them on the web and sometimes on eBay. Good products, but they can be hard to find locally. Yes, milk thistle helps the liver.

Someone posted recently that their holistic Vet said the dosage is about 9 to 10 mg a day. I give about 10 mg. a day with about 2 months or so to see a difference in their ovetall coat condition. It may take longer for bald spots to fill it. My dogs get one 5 mg. pill two times a day, a.m. and p.m. Their coats are amazingly soft, full and shiny now. Sometimes lethargy can be a side effect of melatonin. I saw no issues in any of my dogs. Of course, it's kind of hard to tell the difference between "ZZZZZZ" and "ZZZZZZZZ." :lol

:rofl *whisper* I think it's because he's a little sensitive about his thinning spot..... Perhaps he needs melatonin too.

It would raise the dose to 10 mg a day.

Yup, this is what I would use. In fact I had Donner on milk thistle and saw no changes in his liver values. Denamarin lowered his numbers. Here is the cheapest prices I have found. 49.14 for a 30 day supply. I ordered from here the last 6 months of Donner's life and was always satisfied with shipping and quality of the products.

If you have to doctor up the food to prevent gas, it's not the right food. :nod

I just use the acidophiles pills from Walmart. One pill for each meal. They aren't expensive and we get gas-free results.
