  1. Two of mine are Florida bred, born and raised. And they are developing a "sensitivity" to thunder storms. If we are home, we simply keep an eye on them and let them work it out. As of now, Dessie just pants some while Disco gets up, hide behind Danger and pant. We ignore them, yet we are aware of what they are doing and how intense they are becoming.
  2. Wendy, did the vet explain how they can cause drying? I'm interested because I have severely dry eyes, myself. Ellen, he did, but it was a long time ago and I'm not sure I remember it all. Something about them fitting tightly around the eyes and inhibiting air flow. This was right before JD lost his eye, so we had other concerns going on at the time also. JD had an eye infection from, I am 99.9% sure, a thorn stick at Sandy Paws. He ended up being diagnosed with high blood pressure and early renal failure, both of which can cause eye issues. The eye became more infected and we felt it was better to remove it. He did very well after surgery and with meds. and some holistic care. I am a dry eye person also and should probably be using eye drops myself. I know we used GenTeal Drops for Severe Dry Eyes (or eye in JD's case ) for the remainder of his life, twice a day for almost 3 years, I think. :duh Maybe I'll try some myself. :duh :lol
  3. I do not have a pannas dog. However when I was taking JD, a 'Tzu, to the doggie eye Dr. I asked about them. Our Dr. said he felt they can cause drying of the eyes and did not recommend them for extended wear. Before JD's eye issues, I bought a pair for Donner and he hated them. Donner's were a medium size.
  4. My dogs get a 1000 mg cap. once a day.
  5. My friend Leslie is in Boise. Disregard. I get Idaho City and Idaho Falls mixed up. :lol IC is close to Boise. Y'all are on the other side of the state.
  6. Yup, that's what we do. No more recycled cat poop for my stripeys.
  7. I am so very sorry for your loss. :grouphug
  8. Tracey, I PMed you. He is still using the leg, which is what is scaring me so much. Tonight some friends brought over bacon and marshmallows, and then we went to Baskin Robbins and brought Riley home his own ice cream. He definitely had a good night. I hope you and Riley have more good nights left. :grouphug
  9. :nod Batmom :nod I think also it depends on the dog. Donner's ears get dirty much quicker than my other dogs. No clue why.
