  1. Glad to hear she did well Robbie. Laser therapy on wounds really helps. I wish more vet's would offer it.
  2. I hate when things like this happen. It sounds like your vet is taking every step possible for a good healing. Gentle hugs to JulieBug and prayers for a quick and uneventful healing.
  3. I saw your post on facebook and still that title did me in. I'm so sorry Beth. : Godspeed Most Handsome Steak
  4. I'm voting for arthritis. Praying the warmer weather makes her feel better. Jake who is 12 1/2 started to have a lot of trouble gettting around in the past couple of weeks as it has cooled off. He has arthritis in his hips. We just started Cartrophen shots and he is already much better. I have to say I love the name Faye Oops!
  5. Tricia and Burke I can't tell you how sorry I am. Bee Wiseman lived a wonderful life in the time she came into your's. That was evident in every post and every picture. You made so many wonderful memories, and some day............. they will make you smile. Godspeed Bee Wiseman :gh-run Heaven has another bright and shining star.
  6. I'm so happy that Dorie spent her last year with you Chris. You gave each other such joy. Godspeed Dorie Greyhound I hear there will be a gathering of the old gals to meet you, don't let Miz Foxy boss you around.
  7. Happy Birthday Sweet Girl I hope you can feel the love that is flowing you way.
  8. Atta girl Dorie! Small steps, keep trying. Prayers and love to all of you.
  9. I've used Kirkland Chicken and Rice for year. We only recently switched to the Mature version as it has more joint support. All 4 dogs do really well on it. I get many comments about how soft they are.
  10. Limp plus lump always worries me. I'll be keeping CC in my prayers. Let me know if you need anything.
  11. Peanut had one of those, I'll look for the picture for you. It was a hemangioma, Peanut has had a few. The first one she had was on her toe and kept bleeding, we sent it to the lab for confirmation that is wasn't anything serious. I'm betting that's what that is. Peanut's spot was darker, but has the same red circle. When the vet pricked this one it looked much like Tori's. They generally reabsorb in a few days to a week.
  12. Oh Chris, I finally made myself read all of this. ( I tend to stay away from H & M while working on the auction because sometimes it makes it so hard to continue) All I can offer is cyber and prayers. Keeping you and Dorie close to my heart.
  13. By continuing to do the wonderful things you do. You shared Rainy with the world and she made many, many people smile. You can't know the difference that made in their lives, but I am sure it was not insignificant. Many hugs to you and yours. Godspeed Rainy
  14. Debbie I am so sorry. You and your family have my prayers and warm thoughts. I was watching the video of Ringo in the leaves smiling and a bit teary. What wonderful memories you have, I hope they bring you comfort in the coming months. Many hugs to you, your family, Paul and John. Godspeed Handsome Ringo I'll be watching for your star tonight.
  15. Peanut had a bald neck for quite a while. Now that it's grown in as long as she wears a satin lined collar she's fine.
  16. It does look like a hernia. I'd be calling the vet to ask about the colour, blue indicates blood to me and could be a problem. Peanut had a small one and her's was pink.
  17. Never heard of it. I'm pretty skeptical of most dental products in pet stores to be honest. I have heard good things about LebaIII (I think that's what it's called). You spray it on the teeth once a day. Honestly though the best things you can do for your dog's teeth are to brush them every day and provide good toys and chews. Rubber toys are the best, like Kongs. Stay away from tennis balls and rope toys which are abrasive to the teeth. Good dental chews (I think DentaStix are evil personally... I've seen way too many broken teeth from them, however someone recently told me that they were reformulated and are now soft enough to break by hand) like the Zuke's dental chews, beef pizzle, even raw marrow bones if your dog is a smart chewer. I don't like any kind of bone for aggressive chewers. I do give Summit raw marrow bones though as he mostly just chews the little bit of meat off and then licks out the marrow. No cooked or smoked bones as those splinter. Summit's teeth are beautiful now. When I got him 11 months ago I was worried I was going to have to do a dental on him within a couple of years. Brushing his teeth every night and providing safe, good chews has done wonders. I am very hopeful that he will pretty much never need a dental. Edited because I keent speel. This works well for the majority of hounds. Sadly some hounds just have bad teeth. Jet grows plaque like he has fertilizer in his saliva or something. He got a dental a year ago, I brushed nightly and used a water pik (which he lover the dufus) He needs another dental and will likely loose a ton of teeth. Our vet says some dogs are just like that. Since all 4 of our dogs get the same dental treatment and none of them have had a dental since adoption I have to agree. Even 12 year old Jake has good teeth.
  18. That is good news to me Keeping Rascal in my prayers.
