Although I haven't posted, I have closely watched all the threads and updates about Miss Nellie and wish I had something profound or helpful to say, but I don't, I do however have a hug for you and want you to know that your girly touched so many people all over the world, she will be remembered, and we will see her later.

Angie that is wonderful and I think that would mean more to Shaz, knowing that her legacy might help another pup or another momma. I am a strong believer that our bodies are nothing more than "suitcases" used to carry around the real us, our spirits, personalities etc. You don't need Shazam's ashes because that is not "who she was". I never met Shazam but I know her because of the stories you told and the love that so clear in your posts about her, and I don't even mean the posts made once you knew she was sick, just the regular day to day stuff with you and Pat, and that is what matters, that day in and day out she knew you loved her, her life and yours was happy because you were together. A few crappy days in the hospital, that she would not remember or be aware of, doen''t change that one bit! :grouphug

Oh Dan, I am late reading this and I am so sorry I remember back when the Rev first came to you, I also remember how evident it was when you adopted him out that you didn't want to let him go. I actually cheered when I saw your post that he was back with you. I feel for some reason like I knew him, even though I didn't, and I am so very glad that he finished out his days with you and Sharon, knowing love and being happy, that is what he will have taken with him.

I wish there was anything that could be said that would help, but I know there isn't, I have tears pouring down my face. So many people here feel like they know Shazam through you, what a wonderful legacy! The song you quoted at the top is my all time favourite, it speaks volumes, I always tell DH should anything happen to me, just to listen to that song. It tells us that the only reason it hurts so damn much right now, is because there was so much love. See you later sweet girl.
