  1. I wish there was something helpful I could say, but I guess all I can offer is a cyber hug
  2. Sam It will be hard to be without your friend, but you will always remember him. Im an old lady now and I still smile when I think of Taffy the dog that grew up witih me. Even though you feel like crying now, I hope you have lots of happy fun memories of Reefer that will make you smile.
  3. Hugs for you and your DS. I remember when I found out my mom had my childhood dog put to sleep, I was furious with her. Now I know she did what was right and kind but as a child, well these things can be so much harder to understand or accept and sometimes it is just easier to have someone to be a little mad at, another outlet for those overwhelming emotions. You have our support and love and I hope that helps a little bit.
  4. Maria I am crying here as I read your wonderful tribute to Callie! I think she knew it was time and wanted to say "thank you" and "I love you" to mom.
  5. I voted depends. My current vet is wonderful and her prices are not out of line, it is expensive but I don't feel taken advantage of and the work she does is incredibly important and the service I get from her is absolutely wonderful. Now my previous vet was incredibly expensive, I really liked her but I switched when I realized how much more I was paying for things than everyone else I knew was. Stella's spay, with pre-surgery bloodwork and a dental (all done at the same time so only put under once) cost me $1000.00.
  6. Stella came to us with no dewclaws. My inlaws have had their lab/mix into the vet several times for getting dewclaw caught and torn, finally the vet removed them.

Kim I almost never come into this forum so I am sorry that my support is so late in coming to you. Hugs to you.
  8. Don't panic, the vet will help you figure it out, could be any number of things including arthritis or muscle cramps. Stella did that for a while but on her front foot and it turned out to be a torn ligament in her toe. Give Aria a big kiss from me and try not to worry yourself while you wait. Easier said than done, I know.
  9. A big hug to you. I hope it helps a little bit to know that we care and understand.

    Goodbye Iberia

Hugs to you all. Remember Iberia with love and know that one day those memories will make you smile instead of cry.
  11. Hope it helps a bit Jeff. Using the paypal link was a great idea, solves the problem of currency transfer for us Canucks. Thanx as always for all your hard work.
  12. I am so sorry you are hurting right now but I am also so very thankful that you were there for Belle. It takes a brave, loving person to take on a sick senior and you were there for her. Those memories of being loved are what she will have taken with her. Hugs to you.
  13. Janet I know there isnt anything we can say that will take away the pain you are feeling, but I hope it helps a little bit to know that we are thinking about you. Because of all your great posts I think we all felt like we knew Floyd and all miss him. When you feel ready to participate in posts again we will still be here for you. Lotsa luv, Carolyn.
  14. I am sooo sorry to hear about Justin's accident, but the key word there is accident. You were an excellent friend for Justin and taught him what love was. He died knowing what it was to have a family, not on the racetrack or at the hands of an uncaring person and that is the important thing and that is the peace of heart he will get to take with him to the Bridge. Stella sends you a big hug and so do I.

    Rowdy

Stella and I are thinking of you and hoping it helps, even a little, to know that others understand and care about what you are going through.
  16. Sorry Im late, internet was down at work today. Stella (Epard Stella) 5/97, hermaphrodite, New Hampshire. Parents were By Tar and Shademaker.
  17. Greyhounds are hyper and need a large space to run. Fact - Greyhounds are calm 95% of the time, a walk or run in a fenced in backyard will take care of the 5% energy spurt
