  1. I don't actually remember how it started, someone used it once, a few years back, in a thread as a strange euphamism and it caught on from there
  2. Oh no. First of all a hug for you and Marc Give Darcy a hug on that big fluffy head for me. I hope the surgery gives you a lot of happy pain free time together. What a horrid time we seem to be having on GT lately
  3. Oh Aimee how frustrating for you. I have no helpful advice , my first thought was unrelated to the lung mass that maybe she had a tooth problem and chewing was hurting her, but that wouldnt explain not eating yogurt etc. Doe the inside of her mouth look normal, same as always?
  4. Oh Jenny from the block I am so sorry that you are hurting. I am not sorry for Scooty because he doesn't need me to be, he is great, running around pain free and telling everyone about the awesome time he had in Dewey and about how great his mom is, teaching everyone how to be good pirates, how to aim skunks appropriately and how not to catch a bunny, or more likely knowing Scooty he is planning to tell them all that, after a little nap first It truly is only 'see you later' but I know that doesn't make it hurt any less. Love is God's greatest gift to us and grief is the cost of it. We love you and we will remember Scooter with you
  5. Oh no I am so sorry Mary. It is because of you and your DH that Freddie truly lived. He knew what it meant to finally be safe. He knew what it meant to be able to just be himself and be loved for it. I know that Freddie changed your life the day he crept into it and the day you had to say 'see you later' I remember crying happy tears the day you made the 'Freddie came out of the closet on his own' post and today I cry sad tears, not for Freddie, he doesn't need them, he is happy and pain free, but for you and DH. He went to the bridge happy and safe. I am so sorry for your pain and will always remember Freddie with you. We WILL see you later sweet boy
  6. JMHO is I would take her. Stella has had 3 sets of xrays that turned out to be only soft tissue injuries so now I wait for 3 days of limping before taking her in.
  7. Ya, a chicken with big floppy ears and a cute little twitchy nose Sorry Mary. Stella always enjoys scrambled eggs when she is not feeling well.
  8. It is just pneumonia and scar tissue and the Cipro is going to work it just takes some time. I am going to say that and mean it and believe it unless forced otherwise, cause that's how I roll
  9. I have no ideas for you, sorry but just wanted to send some good thoughts your way!
  10. We'll be thinking of you and Tootsie on Monday Di
  11. !@#%@ I am so sorry. JFB you know I love you and Scooty pants I can't think of anything to say, I know unusual for me, so I will do what us ABT chicks do when words fail us, pass out hugs and rum shots.
  12. Oh Mary I am so sorry When giving him those gentle scritches , give him one for me too please. You changed Freddie's life, because of you and DH he learned what it means to be comfortable, unafraid and loved. I know he changed your's too. You are a gift to each other.
  13. Well lots of prayers coming Freddie's way tomorrow then I love your siggy quote Mary.
  14. :grouphug He is a trooper Mary, he has come through so much and he will come through this too Sounds like you have an excellent surgeon and you know you and Freddie have all the collective love and prayers of GT coming out too
  15. Hugs for Marla and for you too Aimee. I think our 'instinct' when it comes to our babies is usually pretty good. I know you tend to be firmly rooted in your 'eeyore pessimissm' and I try to bounce you out of it with my 'tigger optimism' but I would say if you are leaning toward her needing to be checked out then it is probably a good idea. Does she cheer up and eat when other pups are around? have Kari bring S&P over to test that theory ??? Crap, how could I forget Tip, probably because he never causes any trouble so doesn't get talked about much
  16. Great news Patti. The obvious joy in that running pic brought a huge smile to my face
  17. Freddie has my thoughts and prayers this afternoon. 15 wow! I have been on Gt a long time now and I remember when Freddie was still the pup who lived in the closet and then bit by loooong sloooow bit the baby steps. You should be so very very proud of how far he has come, how far the patience and love of you and DH have brought him
  18. Nic, I have been on holidays and just now saw this. Belated, but still needed, hugs from my gang to you and Dwayne and the boys. See you later sweet Artemis
  19. Every day is a gift and a chance My crew has all our appendages crossed for the stripedy girl and lots of love and prayers en route for you
  20. Aww Aims. Hugs to Chancy and one for you too
  21. Yup that is just the way I visualized it, even the pink letters Hugs to Scooty pants and a round for the bar peeps from me, don't give away my bar stool, I'll be back middle of next week
  22. Hey JFB, sorry for the late response, but know I have been following this thread, I am at my moms and have been having technical difficulty. Glad to hear the scooterman did great through his surgery and I am continuing to visualize that "it's benign" post that you will be doing soon . The only suggestion I can think of for the scratching is the dreaded e collar or else putting something over his back paws. Then he will be mad about that and will be chewing at his feet instead. Hugs from Faith and I. And from STella too who is still at home with daddy and still being forced to wear bitter apple sprayed stocking over her boo boo
