  4. God speed Kenny, go find Patches as he had a bad hip too.
  5. For all of you who don't care for spiders never read Lisa Gardner's new book "Say Goodbye". I'm not bothered by spiders too much but there is a character in the book that is freaky. My dogs all just watch spiders but never bother them.

    Tootsie

Diane, I'm so sorry to see this post. I remember when you stopped to pick up Mahogony & how funny Tootise was with the mirrows in your hotel room. Hugs to you & Godspeed to Tootsie.
  7. Bonnie & Coby, you both are in my thoughts & prayers.
  8. BJ, I am so sorry for your loss. She was a pretty little girl. I sure hope next year is better for you.
  9. So sorry, hugs to you & Kevin. Run free handsome boy.
  10. I remember when you first posted about him & love your pictures. Marty knew he was loved & he'll be waiting for you at the bridge.
  11. Cloe was the little brindle girl that changed my DD from not liking stripes to loving them. Cloe picked her Mom when she was a tiny 3 month old that the breeder never thought would grow but she sure did !! Her nick names were brindle baby or brindle brat depending on what she got into. When Clo was 18 months old we found out she had polytheistic kidney disease & the vet said if she was kept quiet she might live 5 years but if she was allowed to be a normal grey she might live 3 years & she lived 7 years but it just got too hard for her at the end. Sure will seem strange to go feed in the morning & not have her watching me get things ready for all the dogs. Run free sweatheart & find all the rest of Mom's & Grandma's babies that are there to greet you.
  12. Aria looked very much like my Honey who was waiting for her at the bridge. I'm sorry for you loss.
  13. Asti you are a doll!! Love your pictures with her "flower" necklace & the other 2 checking her out.
  14. Noelle (Whippet) is doing well now, she'll be 2 yr next month. She gets a shot in the AM & one at night and eats 3 times a day to help keep he levels steady. Also if she gets up at night she gets a small treat when she goes back to bed, granted she has had a very hard time but seems to be doing just fine now. She will even come to me for her shot without me calling her. The vet & I didn't think we would see her live this long but she's a fighter who thinks she rules! Good luck. Noelle eats mostly canned food as it is easier to mix her pancrezyme in but she gets regular dog food.
  15. Good luck Asti. She'll be good for a say or 2 & then watch out!!
  16. About the ears, my jeartdog had a tiny hair that was moving against the eardrum & it drove him crazy. The vet lightly sedated him & pulled it out-no more problems. As to the weight loss have her checked for all worms. Good luck.
  17. Virgina has a temp also & yesterday I put her in the tub with the cool shower on, She just stood there while I let water pour over her. My show is on a long hose so I could do the easily do the underside. It must have felt good because she just stood there & calmy let me cool her. I've also put cold wash cloths on the tummy side when the dog is on a pillow & this works too. Even dogs that don't like to get baths or rained on seem ok with this. Hope Shanti feels better soon.
  18. I am so sorry. Please take care of yourselves & Andy. I truly know how hard this is for all of you. Run free Emmy
  19. Does this mean she gets her new chair?
  20. Great news. Hugs to all & I know you & Mike feel much better.
  21. Just read this thread all the way thru. We use the nutrical paste for our seizue girls when needed, just put some in the mouth & the swallow. When using the yeast how much do you put on each meal? Laura's heartdog is not eating enough so want to try this for her. Judy, I'm so glad Emmy is starting to come around, I think of you often .
  22. Heather I'm so sorry & I do know how you feel. Hugs to all.
  23. Thank you everyone for your thoughts. This was the hardest of all- at least the ones with the cancers went peacefully & I knew what was taking them but not my Song. Then to have our dear adopter die Monday & having to pick up her 2 girls made it extra hard.
