Sending good thoughts for Beauty. This is how my DD's dog Cool Fall started out, keeping her calm is a must! Keep a very close eye on her as even straining to stand can make it worse. Give her an ear scritch from me.
This was special little girl & every time I went into her house after she was injured she would try to get up to greet me. She was a true wild child as Laura said but was becoming a sweet young lady. Grandma misses you sweetheart.
Run free & happy :gh_runner
Is he a stanard sized ? When we lived in Germany I wanted to get a wire haired to go with my beautiful red long haired. It's good you live so far from me that I can't try to get him. Good luck
My DD's Dal is the same way. Sometimes her piles are as big as the horse's! She runs outside most of the day, just doesn't stop to potty. Dottie is also healthy, just a weird dog this way, I figured it was a Dal thing.
Let your Jester help pick out his new housemate. We do this with adopters that have dogs & it really does help. You don't always have to go opposite sex, I have 2 males & 6 females in my house and my daughter has 5males & 10 females in her house & there aren't problems. Good luck.
Shadrach was limping like this except it's a front foot. When took him to the vet last weekshe noticed he's flat footed on that foot & walks on the very back of the pad so it's sore. I've kept him in & not let him run the yard like he loves (easy to do when it's in the 20-30s) and it is better. Have your vet check that & give him some Hip & Joint in case it is old "arthur".
If you trust your vet there is no real need to go to a neurologist. Our vet took good care of all the seizure dogs that my DD & I have taken in and would have sent on if needed. Sometimes it takes a while to get the meds regulated so hand in there.
My bridge boy Patches had reactions to several meds but he too got to where they didn't bother him. He lived to 11-1/2 with panus in both eyes( had it for 11 years. Mention his reaction to the vet as they can try him on some of the other drugs until the correct one is found.
Sending prayers & good thoughts to you & bill. Maybe he just has the same foot problem my Shadrach has, he gets corns on the side of his pads where they rub each other. I was worried when he started limping so got on his bed to checkhis feet, sure was relieved to find something so as not to think too much about the terrible C . Give Bill a hug for us.
