  1. I am glad he is feeling better today! That is one of my biggest fears, another loose dog attack on my guys.
  2. I used Valium this year for the first time. Tried one pill Sat. night, it worked ok, but the vet said I could go up to 1 1/2 pills, so I did that Sunday night since those fireworks are just down the street. Made the dogs loopy (Sallie got a half pill Sunday) but it helped. I really want them stoned, so they just go "duuuude..."
  3. I hope the x-rays pinpoint the trouble and it's an easy fix!
  4. Fireworks are over here, finally! I have two legal shows, one a couple of blocks away, the other a couple of miles away. Fletcher and Sallie are on valium, which helped, some. Molly just wants to go outside and bark at them I guess it's better than where I used to live, there the illegal fireworks went on for hours, New Years Eve was just as bad as the Fourth The 99 dwarves, aka AZ legislature, legalized fireworks this year, and our idiot governor signed it, but it doesn't take effect until August, I think. I'm really dreading that!
  5. I'm glad the ACE worked for your dogs. I tried it last year and it did not work for Fletcher, every dog is different.
  6. Glad to hear Sid is feeling better, I hope he continues to improve!
  7. I am glad he is doing well! I am sure, with a little trial & error, you can reduce his meds. I forget, what AB is he on? We thought at one time that Fletcher would have to be on a low dose of Flagyl (metronidazole) for life, but he has been able to just take it as needed. His gut was not damaged like Kelly's though.
  8. I've tried a number of different things for Fletcher without much success. This year my vet gave me some Valium for him, I really hope this works, I feel so bad for him! definitely check with your vet, Valium or Xanax should help.
  9. Sorry to hear this! I'm glad it was (relatively) mild and hope it was an isolated incident
  10. sounds like you caught her in time, but how scary!
  11. I am so glad she is feeling better today! Anytime they go "under", it is scary. Anesthesia is very necessary, but so hard on the body (anyone's body )
  12. Oh, poor little thing I hope the fluids and shots will fix her up. Time will help too, as she gets more of the anesthesia out of her system
