    My Dylan....

I am so sorry. Losing two so close together is just a that extra punch in the gut
  2. glad to hear she is on her way home! for good test results
  3. Sallie has a badly broken toe, happened two weeks ago. I gave her tramadol for about a week, but this last week she hasn't seemed to need it. Glucosamine won't help his break, but it might help his shoulder. 1500/day is the usual dose. Works best combine with chondroiten and msm. Hope he feels better!
  4. I recently add Boswellia to Fletcher's supplement cocktail. I think it made his stool a little soft, but practically everything does, and it isn't enough to be a problem. It may get better as his system adjusts. Fletcher has IBD, so I am very careful about what he eats. He is not a picky eater AT ALL so I can't help you with the palatability. I don't see how acupuncture could hurt him, and It was a huge help for Sugar when she had her back problems. Can he not get in the car?
  5. I get mine at Sprout's. Will check on the bound/not bound when I get home
  6. If they look and feel fine, I would wait and re-weigh. I know the scale I use at home for the cats and the one at the vets is different by 2-3 lbs, and this is for cats under 10 lbs!
  7. Close doors, pick up things, hide things I've noticed that now that the weather is cooling off here, even the old guys are much more energetic, so taking them out for a play session, or an extra walk, is a good idea too.

    Hunter Kitty

I am so sorry, a tragic end for poor Hunter
  9. glad she is home! she will feels so much better now
  10. It's always a worry, even when you know they will probably be fine!
  11. Heather, I am so sorry. Make the most of what time you have left (I know you will)
  12. Molly had a similar cut just under her eye a while back, I opted to just watch it, and it healed up fine.
  13. Poor Conner! Do you have any idea what triggered it? Sometimes I can figure out what triggers Fletcher's episodes, sometimes not I hope the metronidazole helps. He probably hasn't gone because he is empty!
  14. I used Dasequin for Sugar when her arthritis got really bad, plus she had some spinal problems. It did help, but for several years before it got so bad, I used Springtime's Joint Health and Fresh Factors. I use them now for Fletcher and give them to the girls as well, even though they don't have arthritis (yet...). I also give Fletcher a Traumeel tablet twice a day, and a milk thistle capsule once a day. Considering adding S.O.D. and Boswellia. The Greyhound Gang products are great, and very reasonably priced, but my guys don't like the powder mixed with their food
  15. I prefer Metacam for Fletcher's flare-ups, but for daily use I give him a Traumeel tablet twice a day, and he hasn't had a flare up in over a year! However, if I quit giving them to him, he starts limping in about two days, so I know it's working. I also give him a milk thistle capsule.
  16. So glad to hear this! You will probably have to watch what eats for the rest of his life, but that's a small price to pay for a happy healthy dog
