  1. Well, crap on the negative culture! I would really consider starting the sub-q fluids, I don't know how much they actually help the condition, but I do know all my cats felt much better on fluids, even my grey who was in acute kidney failure did feel a bit better with the fluids.
  2. I am so sorry, I have been through this with several cats Once the infection is dealt with , there are things you can do to make her feel better. I hope she is able to stay with you for awhile yet
  3. I am so sorry he is gone, his name always made me smile! I will raise a glass for him tonight and smile one more time.

    I am so sorry
  5. glad Jack is feeling better! hoping the ultrasound finds an easy, fixable problem
  6. I am so sorry she wasn't able to stay with you longer
  7. I had a cat diagnosed with this, but it was in conjunction with (or a side effect of) his CRF (chronic renal failure). The first meds we tried didn't help, but the second did and he didn't have anymore problems, although of course the kidney problems were still there. I would have to go and look up the names of the meds, if you are interested.
  8. I buy the "capsule" size, I can cram about 5 of Fletcher's pills in one I tried the homemade stuff, and it worked OK, but it still tended to stick to my fingers, which the pill pockets don't, so I went back to them. I may investigate the tiny sausages, tho, it they work out to be cheaper. With as many pills as he takes, they may not.
  9. Glad to hear a good update this morning. I hope they can get his meds adjusted so he never has to go through that again, poor boy.
  10. I hope it is just the hooks, but even if it is IBD, that can be dealt with. Fletcher has had IBD since I got him a 2, and he is now 10 1/2, and has no idea he has anything wrong An ultrasound is a good idea for your peace of mind.
