  1. Welcome home Kelsey/Fiona/Dyani! You look like you are settling in quite well. You are lucky to have Miss Ducky as a Fairy Godmother!
  2. Our girl Beka acted like a puppy until she was 6 years old! Cherry is currently 5 years old and still exhibits some puppy behavior but is calming down (sort of). We got them when they were 3.5 (several years apart) and they were both very puppylike then. We adopted Ivy when she had just turned 2- very puppy-like! She stayed that way until she was about 4, then calmed down to her current mature, sophisticated lady demeanor. Good luck with your boy. Enjoy and savor each stage of his life!
  3. Ivy and Cherry have a Lambchomp too. Here is Ivy lounging with Lambchomp. Cherry would just run around and chomp on her. (on Lambchop, not Ivy)
  4. Oh, what a shock and how heartbreaking. I am so sorry.
  5. Darn. I hope she responds to the chemo. Most dogs do pretty well with chemo- I know our Beka was fine with it and had no side effects. Good luck to you Sweep and let that medicine do its work! Sending
  6. I am so sorry to hear this. Thank you for giving Starz the opportunity for such a loving home as a senior, even though she wasn't with you very long. Run free Starz!
  7. I am so sorry to hear this and it is such a difficult time for you! As you know, our girl Beka was diagnosed with osteo at 10 1/2 years old and confirmed by Dr. Couto. We opted for amp and chemo because Beka was a feisty girl who loved life and we knew she would be able to deal with it. It was her left front leg. As Mary Pat said, the first two weeks are really, really difficult and then they suddenly turn a corner and things get better. Beka lived for an additional 14 months post amp and she was running at greyhound playgroup and still LOVED to go on walks. She was just shy of her 12th birthday when she was diagnosed with mets in her spine and her rear leg and couldn't stand up anymore. It's a difficult journey but definitely worth it to offer precious time and life for your grey! Sending for Sweep! Kathy
  8. Jeff, the site has been working great for me since Wednesday. Thanks so much for your attention to this!
  9. This morning I signed on without a problem it took a very long time for my post to save after I clicked "submit reply". It just said "saving" so I went off to other apps for a while and came back every now and then. It finally posted after about 5-6 minutes!
  10. I have had the issue on my desktop in Microsoft Edge and also on my I phone, which signed me on under someone else's username!
  11. I got this message too this morning. I just kept trying and finally got in!
  12. This morning I went into GT on my I phone, wrote my usual morning post on WFUBCC and when I submitted it my post showed up under someone else's username!! I tried it once more and the same thing happened. Then I signed out, signed back in and it showed up with my username. Really strange! (insert Twilight Zone theme song here ),
  13. Jeff, Over the last two days I have had issues of Greytalk kicking me off and then not letting me sign back in. This happens on my desktop and fortunately not on my phone. Then this morning I wrote a post and hit “submit reply” and it just greyed out the submit button and left me with a spinning circle like it was trying to post but couldn’t. Right now I just tried to sign back in after getting kicked off and after a long time I got an error message saying “something went wrong please try again”. Was there a recent update that changed things? Help! Kathy
  14. Oh Ducky, I am so sorry it was Charlie's time to go. That picture of him with Mazy is priceless! Run free Charlie and go find Mazy at the Bridge!
  15. How long have you had him? It takes time! Your grey is probably overwhelmed with the changes that have occurred in his life after being adopted. Some adoption groups recommend letting your grey stay in his crate so that he can observe his new surroundings and become familiar with them before interacting with his new world. Let him learn on his terms. Every grey is different and he may just need time to adjust. That 3 days/weeks/months timing is often true- it's like getting a new dog every few months! Before long you will see a friendly, happy boy who is ready for his new adventures!
  16. Hope you had a Happy Birthday Jagger!
  17. Zee was such a beautiful girl! It sounds like she lived a long happy life with you. No matter how long, it's never easy when they go to the Bridge. Run Free Zee!
