  5. The worst of all worlds -- the long, undiagnosed battle, and the sudden end. Sending all our sympathy on the loss of your beautiful brindle girl.

  9. I hope that Gracie is gracious about taking it easy. If you're not already aware, watch for any signs of problems with the Rimadyl -- the vast majority of dogs don't have any, but they can be extremely serious for the unfortunate minority. It caused bloody stools in one of my dogs, for instance. Wishing her a happy recovery.
  10. Keep on keeping on, Miss Dorie G. And continued good thoughts for Dude and the rest of the pirate crew.

    Freya

How wonderful for Freya to have such a loving family and so much joy her last months. The best gift you could have given her. I'm so sorry for your loss. My first greyhound died shortly after my father's death.
  12. I'm sorry. This is the time for grief and crying. Calmer, happier days will come in their own time.
  13. Run with the wind, and know that you are loved.
  14. It sounds like Gracie is coming along wonderfully. Welcome!
  15. Sending sympathy on the loss of your Trinkett. I've never had a shy or spooky dog, but I love having two at a time. Watching the different personalities and interactions makes everything more fun. Even when they're not closely bonded, I think they really enjoy having another dog around. The only "one-at-a-time" problem I've experienced is when I've been working obedience with them and have to shut one of them away at a time. But that was only for 10-15 minutes per dog.
  16. She'll have to settle for good as new, because she couldn't possibly be better. Good luck!
  17. So tell us how Chevy is walking -- painfree? No boots?
  18. That 8/28 x-ray is just frightening. Best wishes to Dakota on his new life.
