  1. I read your earlier posts and thought how composed and articulate you were. You sound like a terrific mom, both dog and human. You did do your research! And, we all need some hand-holding at some point(s). Good job, mom!! But yes, we do need some photos
  2. After watching your heart tugging video of Jonelle, I have been trying to find the right words and still they fail me. She was beautiful, and lived her life to the fullest with her people who loved her more than anything. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
  3. Words seem inadequate. I am so very sorry for your multiple losses.
  4. A year ago today, at 14.1 the sweetest boy there is made his journey to the Bridge. I still can't believe that he is gone and I still haven't been able to grieve for him, it is too huge MiMi Sizzle Pants traveled with Pal My good girl, who was with us just four short months. How I miss you both. :brokenheart
  5. ...and rested his head on my shoulder. The sound of his peaceful breathing was the sweetest music ever. Ducky, Possum will always be singing to you, in your heart. I am so very sorry you didn't get more time together Godspeed special boy.
  6. This is Seamie's current favorite for pill-taking. It is stinky and gross but he loves it. I offer a tiny piece of it first, without any meds, and the pieces that follow contain his pills, ending with a tiny piece without meds. When he gets picky about his meals, a bit of liverwurst and water gravy usually gets him interested.
  7. She is EF Earlsweetgirl That is actually Paddy Mayhem
  8. Thank you Sweetie is a foster. I'm still playing financial catch-up after losing so many campers, I'm just greytful for the opportunity to have her here for as long as she can stay. She's a wonderful girl. No WAIT, she's a terrible dog ...
  9. My first! My Three Sons have settled into a very nice routine. But, I hate leaving Seamie home alone when the boys go out and about, so I've been either taking the young'uns for very short airings together or doing stuff with them individually. This lovely lady went to WAG and this morning she came to Camp Greyhound. She's a foster, and I hope she stays for a very long time we just love her. She's 10.7, raced, followed by a career as a brood, yada yada yada, and now here she is. She met the young'uns at the WAG Gathering and rode home with them in the BOH, met Seamie, explored the yard (I will try post a video, omg ), enjoyed her first Sardine Saturday, and is sacked out on a bed in the living room. It has been seamless. WAIT, why am I telling you all this GOOD stuff about my foster? She's a terrible dog, doesn't get along with anyone, has tons of issues, no one would want her Please welcome "Sweetie" to our camp At the Gathering Coming home She HAD to have a name tag Seamie: Fanks momma She sits! She plays! She sleeps But the funniest thing she does is come up from behind you and be straddled. All.The.Time. She's dangerous Hopefully this video works. She did laps around the yard and her face was soo bright as she discovered the outdoor stuffies, awww Thank you to the WAG folks for making this happen. We just love this girl. Seamie
  10. All good advice above. I will add to remember to look in the direction that you want to go. If you stand there looking down at the dog, the dog is not going to move. Keep your eyes up and your entire body language will change to language that encourages your dog to move.
  11. Ducky, would you please add our friend and honorary camper, Nike, to September's list. He was an Icelandic Geiserhound (pound puppy). Thank you.
  12. Nike has been our good friend and honorary camper ever since he was sprung from the pound in February, 1999. He was almost 16 and was best buds with Tom (great dane) and Pal. He and Pal were Two Old Guys. Nike's health had been failing and this morning his people got the sign that it was time. Godspeed Nike . You have so many friends waiting at the Bridge to show you the ropes, and there are still Milk Bones every night at 8:00pm
  13. So Calmplex can be given as needed? I was thinking of trying this for Seamus during t'storm season and wasn't sure how to administer it. Every day? Seamus is a terribly reliable weather forecaster and although he has improved tremendously (less hiding out in his bathroom cave, etc.), I wonder if Calmplex might be worth a try.
  14. My heart goes out to you. You are the best dog dad and Tempo knew that. I am so very sorry for the Tempo-sized hole in your heart right now. Please take care of yourself.
  15. Oh Carla, I can't believe this. I am so terribly sorry your beautiful, funny girl has left. My heart is breaking for you. How is Streak doing?? :grouphug Godspeed Jonelle, you will be so very missed.
  16. I'd forgotten all about Springtime so thank you for this thread. Seamus (13.3 y.o.) just got started on Fresh Factors
  17. Sweet potato, green beans, carrots, apples. My young'uns love these.
