  1. Zoey, you are in a much better place.
  2. Honestly, if our greys saw those rocks, there's no way they would walk on them. I would feel perfectly comfortable leaving my pups unleashed in this yard. Brooke will chase squirrels, but it's unlikely a squirrel would run towards water. You may want to walk him near the edge first so he sees the rip-rap.
  3. I don't worry about them because if I am away without them, they are with DH. However, i do really miss them. At this point we go on vacations that include the dogs because this is our preference.

    Penny Lane

I'm so sorry for your loss
  5. Does anyone have Kathleen Gilley's article? I think it would be a good read for the OP.
  6. Have you checked to see if she's dehydrated? It's been hot here so she should be drinking more not less. If she's not dehydrated though, I wouldn't worry. Have you seen the frozen popsicles. Maybe you can substitute this for her fluid intake.

Happy Bridge Birthday Sweetie. I wish you didn't have to suffer so much and I still get teary eyed thinking about you. You deserved so much more...rest well dear Jewell...at least you are not in pain anymore.
  8. Wendy, I have a pic of twiggy running http://forum.greytal...3/page__st__360 posted in this thread. It's not a very good pic but it is editable.
  9. if you scale their teeth, do you also polish them. I wonder if the microscopic abrasions caused by scaling need to be polished?
  10. Thanks for sharing...I would love to live near Victoria and now you've given me more reasons. Hester looks like the perfect grey...happy and content.
  11. I am so sorry...I wish I more comforting words to offer. You provided her with a lifetime of love and even at the end, did the most loving thing for her to release her from pain.
  12. Here's hoping it is something simple and easily treatable.
  13. Nancy, I'm so sorry you have another osteo hound. Hope Tommy has many more good days with you.
  14. All of our greyhounds found out on their own they can swim and none panicked. Bailey walked off the end of a dock at a friend's cottage. She had never seen a lake. Ben walked off right after her. Both swam to shore. We were on the dock and did not have to do or say anything, they just naturally swam to shore. Brooke fell out of a canoe and swam straight for shore. I swam near her in a kayak and Dave quickly paddled to shore to help her over the slippery rocks once she got to shore. all of them were fine after their experience. They just gave themselves a good shake and went on their way. Perhaps it is because dh and I didn't panic either. We were right there but they all knew where the shoreline was and none were in any danger of sinking, nor did they flail around in the water.
  15. Your pups are adorable...and welcome to the wonderful world of other mad about greyhounds folks.
