Walliered
Saw him. They have him up and walking outside. The therapist is walking him up and down curbs and is amazed how well he is doing 24 hours out of surgery. He is alert and only panting a little. Surgeon said he could probably come home Friday. Thank goodness I have Trupanion Pet insurance. Thanks for the prayers.

Rickiesmom
So glad to see a good update. How is his appetite?
4My2Greys
Now that is sounding like a very positive update . Is this surgeon different from the one that did the previous surgery? It seems things are going much better this time around.

tbhounds
Glad he's doing so well! It will be nice to get him home :-)
Walliered
Yes, I will be glad to get him home, but am very worried about not letting him lunge for anything. It will mess up the surgery and ya'll know how fast they can push off with their back legs.
Walliered
Just got a call from the lady that is keeping my other hound while Da Vid has surgery. Seems Lady went down the steps wrong and is crying and limping. I have asked her to take her to my vet (who is on a barn call) and leave her overnight. I am going to pack up here after I see Da Vid and head on back to Savannah. I will come back tomorrow.
macoduck
Oh geez, you just can't catch break. I hope Lady has an easy recovery from her fall today.
