macoduck
Hope she feeling better by now. Did they feel it was warranted to biopsy the area in question? Still not quite herself. Very low energy. No fever. Acts like she has a hangover. No. They think it was a proliferation of tissue and benign rather than a tumor. Vet did offer to cut back the tissue but we both agreed she would not enjoy/tolerate stitches there. I've gotten a few tail wags out of her today. I've been juggling the cephalexin, pepcid, and tramadol and so far no vomiting. tbhounds
Her mouth shouldn't hurt from incisor extractions. She must still be feeling the after effects from the anesthesia & perhaps a bit off from the medications. Hopeful she's drinking for you--did she receive plenty of IV fluids during her procedure? I don't think it's the incisor removal either. I think her discomfort is from the surgical removal of the tooth mid-jaw on upper right side. Don't know the name of that one. They did make sure to give her extra fluids during the procedure. tbhounds
Forgot you mentioned other extractions-if it was that big sucker on the top (the carnassial) then yup, could take a bit for then to recover. To extract that tooth usually requires splitting the tooth and creating a flap-hope she's better today :-)

macoduck
Pudge is finally becoming a little bit more lively. She did a lot of moaning last night. If we lived in an apartment instead of a house a neighbor would have thought there was some hot action going on with me and DH. She is only eating half her food but has been a good girl about taking her pills. Like someone in another post today said, you get one fixed and another breaks. Tiny Tessa had a visit last weekend with the vet who removed all but 2 of her teeth and saved her from other medical crises before she came to me. Though her oral fistulas are still open, vet said they will not be a problem. Monday was Pudge's dental. On Tuesday Gracie gashed her ankle but it's not too bad. And Harold still wets his bed but we've been dealing with that for quite a while. Compared to how some fellow GTers and their dogs are doing, we're doing OK.
