Guest MissynDulcie
Hi everyone! I just adopted my first retired racing Greyhound last Sunday and I'm already smitten. She's 2 years old and her name is Dulcie (racing name: Dulcie of Ruckus). I got her from Greytful Hearts in Hamburg, PA. She's got 3 Chinese Cresteds and 1 itty bitty Chihuahua for siblings now, along with 2 hairless cats. The dogs are still about 50% terrified of her, but are getting better and better with each day and are learning to accept her little by little. Here's some pics of my amazing girl! Guest MissynDulcie
Thanks everyone! She is settling in wonderfully :-) Up until yesterday morning, she'd only play with the bunny toy in the pictures but as of yesterday morning she's become a toy hoarder! She seems to love anything that squeaks, especially the skinnez toys without the stuffing. The little ones try to keep her from going near the couch, but yesterday she walked right through them and came over as well. Seems like she knows she's home! Guest MissynDulcie
Oh and JenniferS, that's neat that they share a great great grandfather! That's one thing that impresses me with these dogs, normally when you adopt a dog you know virtually nothing about him or her. With these guys though, you can check out all kinds of stuff from their pedigrees to their stats, that's more info than you'd get from getting a normal puppy straight from a breeder! Anyways, seeing how I've already succumbed to the potato chip syndrome associated with me Chinese Cresteds and Sphynx kitties, it's probably only a matter of time until we get Dulcie a greyhound buddy. I'm already hooked!

Guest MissynDulcie
The little dogs are still getting used to her, but I do have some pics with her and the cats. She's become good buds with the younger one :-) Sealy (1 year old) is on the arm of the couch and Hadyn (6 months old) is snuggling with Dulcie. She does have a long tail! I thought it was just a greyhound thing, I'm always scooting her over when it gets a wagging because I'm paranoid about her breaking it from hitting a wall or whatever.
