Hello everyone! Ginger (formerly Wv's Friendly) adopted us on October 1st from Greyhound Angels Adoption in NJ. She is our first greyhound (and first dog). We are enjoying her immensely! She is adapting pretty well to her home life in Long Island, NY. She is even getting along pretty well with the 3 cats.

And... what about those sad "I really need a cookie" eyes! Those can melt my heart!

As a long time greyhound owner and a doctoral level counselor, those eyes are truly indicative of a deep need for a cookie (better yet, several). To deny could result in long-term psychological harm. Be warned....

Ya, as Melissa said, this is our first dog much less our first greyhound, so we are inexperienced in these matters. We suspected what you have confirmed (either that or she's a con artist), but I am glad that a professional has made the diagnosis. Anyway, there is no shortage of treats here.

Seriously though, she's really a great dog. I was a little nervous at first because, although we've had our cats for a long time, a dog is a new experience for us.

A dog is a lot more work than a cat, but she gets so happy over like everything, and it's so awesome, it's worth every minute. We're so happy to have her with us and can't remember what is was like without her.

Edit: Oh yea, I think we're going to the holiday shop on saturday. Hope to see you there!

She's very beautiful...soon you'll be asking why it took so long. Greys are an awesome breed for anyone who loves their gentle nature and soulful eyes that can melt your heart just by opening them.

OK, you already know that you have to post pictures AND you've already gotten her a special Halloween coat. You just need a drawer full of collars and you'll fit right in :lol

Welcome to Greytalk and the greyhound cult. Enjoy your beautiful little girlhoundie
