Guest Giselle Posted April 3, 2011 Share Posted April 3, 2011 This morning, I held Giselle in my arms as we freed her from her pain and discomfort. It is so incredibly hard acknowledging her absence where she should be present, and the depth of my sorrow only intensifies each time I think about letting her go today. The only thing I can do to honor her and to not destroy myself is to celebrate her life and the joy she brought into mine. As my 'demo dog', as my therapy dog, Giselle was my ever-patient little angel. She always will be. It is so hard to think of the permanence of her absence, but it gives me so much joy to remember her as my sweetheart, my velcro-girl, my baby. Rest in peace, Giselle. 10/26/2001-4/2/2011. I know how hard it is and there are no words that can erase the pain ... only celebrate the wonderful memories and be comforted by the good life she lived and touched!
