The pain lingers, but as I think of you a smile crosses my lips and my heart is lit as if with a string of lights. You were the first of the Old Guard to leave me. Now they are all with you. You came to me as a retired Mama Dog, after an awesome racing career, and whelping 34 pups. You strolled in and took over our home. I learned so much from you. What an incredible journey we had. I think of you and miss you every day. You may physically be gone, but your spirit lives forever in my heart. You were saucy: You were sassy: You were elegant: You were The Queen Thank you BarbieJade for introducing me to the wonderful world of the broodies. I love you and miss you. Today (since it is after 12:00 am) would have been her 15th birthday. I bet the two of them are partying it up, most likely dancing on tables with Loca.
