If you could spare a prayer or two for Randy, it would be greatly appreciated. It's always a concern for me as they get older, and he turned 9 this past April. Thanks!

I called about an hour ago, and the assistant said he was recovering well, albeit still pretty out of it, which is expected. Amber is going to pick him up at 4:30 for me today as she's able to get him lifted into her truck (quad cab), which is easier than me trying to get him into the back seat of my 2-door Nissan! I don't know if there were any extractions as the vet was out to lunch when I called.

 

I'm washing up his blankie and getting his crate ready in case he can't get onto my bed. :)

 

Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes! They are much appreciated, and I can breathe easier now!

Bless his pea-picking heart! I had his blankie all washed and spread out. Amber had to literally carry him in (gave me a hernia watching), and we got him all situated on the floor in my bedroom. As soon as we walked off to talk about instructions on him from the vet, he was up and weeble-wobbled into the computer room and under my desk! :blink:

 

He was snoozing pretty good until the microwave beeped (I warm the pre-softened kibble up a bit), and he weeble-wobbled into his crate to be fed! So I gave him about 2/3 of a cup, mixed with a lot of water, and he snarfed that down.

 

Then he weeble-wobbled to the back door with a look of urgency that only a drugged, glassy-eyed dog can give! :lol

 

Out into the back yard, like a drunken sailor, me right alongside him in case he lost his balance. He did a big poop and somehow managed to keep his tookus off the ground.

 

He couldn't manage the 2 steps back up, so I had to pick him up. He even stood waiting for a treat, so I gave him a soft one. I can't say no to my doe-eyed shy guy. :inlove

 

He's back under the desk, and I've got good stuff from the vet to keep his pain at bay till he's healed. :nod:D

 

Oh, he also had a skin tag removed from his hip, so he does have 2 sutures that will come out in 10 days.
