Guest Lucky_JoJo Posted March 23, 2010 Share Posted March 23, 2010 Just wanted to share that we had to put down one of our kennel greys today. His name was Eddie and he was a return. I instantly fell in love with him because he reminded me so much of my first greyhound, Scooby. He was so scared, but after a long sit with him and a pocket full of cookies I won him over. He had friends at the shelter that he would play with, but they all got adopted. A week ago we found out that he had osteosarcoma and was put down today. He went softly and quietly in my arms, and I don't know how many times I apologized to him and told him that I loved him. Moments after he left us, the whole kennel started to roo, but it wasn't a happy or an excited roo. It was more sad like they all knew of Eddie's passing and wanted to send him off the only way they could.
