Guest greytbookert Posted March 6, 2010 Share Posted March 6, 2010 Could anyone spare a chant that little Miss Cindy just has a UTI? Yesterday, she was peeing often and I mean often! Not just little amounts either. When I got home from work, we went out at 4:30, she peed. She had already been out around 3:30 with DH and had peed. Then she had an "accident" in the house at 6pm, a big accident. Then she peed huge again at 6:30. The smell from the first accident had an odor to it. I can't explain the odor but it wasn't your normal pee smell. Does that make sense? We had to keep going out every hour or so and she would do big, giant pees. However, she held it all night, no accidents in her crate. We caught her first pee this morning and are bringing it in for testing... I hope it is a simple UTI and not anything related to her issues before. She is still in tact, so I wonder if that has something to do with it. But she hasn't been symptomatic of her heat cycle in about 2 weeks. Her "area" is still quite prominent but not swollen like it was when she was symptomatic. Our fawn Lucy came to us a couple of days after spaying and soon developed a UTI that sounded very similar in symptoms. Fingers crossed that Cindy just needs some antibiotics for her infection. What you're describing is exactly what happens to Zema when she eats commercial food -- she starts drinking mid/late afternoon and then has to pee 4-6 times over the space of @ 2 hours.
