Guest bigorangedog Posted February 14, 2010 Share Posted February 14, 2010 We celebrated my sweet boy Apollo's 10th birthday today. He had his leg amputated 2 weeks ago now, and is doing well. He had some infection in the incision, but I think the worst is over there. He is getting around quite well, although still doesn't have a ton of energy. He WILL get up and tail wag and go to the door if he thinks he has a chance of going in the car! (Even though he has been to the vet 3 out of the past 4 days this week.) So this morning we put him and our other tripawd Whitey in the car and took them along to a Meet n Greet so that Apollo could have a fun outing. We only kept him at the MnG for about an hour, because we didn't want him to overdo it, but he enjoyed getting out and about. No one can believe it has only been 2 weeks, he is moving so nicely. I've been writing updates about his progress on the MNGR blog (in my sig). He also got some Arby's chicken nuggets as a post-MnG treat.
