You asked Poppi to forgive you but there is nothing to forgive as you did what you had to do and I am certain Poppi knew you did everything possible. My heart aches for you. I just moved to Kanab in August to live on my own (with Poppi) for the first time, and I just started my job at Best Friends in November. Worrying and taking care of Poppi while starting a new life was exhausting, and I feel Poppi knew that and it may have affected her health even more. I have been getting by these last few days by eating (my addiction to sugar is in full swing now) and bringing home dogs from Dogtown for sleepovers so that I won't be home alone. My mom is flying in today to help me through this. I have to start coping with this in a healthy way and get on with living. Again, thank you all for all your support.
