Guest greytbookert Posted September 21, 2009 Share Posted September 21, 2009 I think, actually hope, that Sahra has a UTI. The past 2 days, she's had to go out and pee every 2 hours (or less). DH brought a urine sample to work today for UA. I really hope this is as simple as a UTI. At 14+, I don't want it to be something more severe. We'll keep an eye on her and retest in a week. We'll also bring her up there for a blood sample, again, just in case there is something else going on. The Cephalexin is just a start and if the culture shows resistant to Ceph, we'll change up the antibiotics. I will say that she is happy, happy, happy today. We just got home from some errands and she was a runnin' fool! She "dusted" both Eric and T in their sprint around the yard! She is an amazingly tough old lady! We're taking her out every 2 hours and she goes pee every time. We're taking her in on Friday for blood work, hoping that the meds need a little more time to kick in. She's still perky, eating well, and generally fine. Her vet has compared her UA's over the past couple of years and there is nothing remarkable in them.
