Guest trevdog
The vet tech just called, all the barium has gone through so she can come home! (Actually passed through much quicker than they expected too) I have to meet the vet to get the details, she said he was able to palpitate the area on the xray finally, whatever that means. Maybe it's just the gas again like the last episode....let's hope so.....they said she was fine to come home and I know he wouldn't release her if he wasn't sure given her history.... Your prayers did the trick I think! Now all I gotta do is get the details and make sure DH is diligently going to watch her..... Guest trevdog
She's home and feeling a little better. Had a lot of gas again, but also her spleen is enlarged which may be due to the stress. He's sending out bloodwork to rule out anything else. Meanwhile she's on some meds to help with the tummy and discomfort.....she has to quit scaring me like this, but I'm thankful that seems to be all it is.....apparently the barium helps to push out the gas too.... Now hoping DH can handle her....she should start feeling better tomorrow and she did eat a little at the vets and is drinking again.

Guest trevdog
DH spoke to the vet this morning....bloodwork came back showing some liver damage, likely caused by ingesting insecticide? We have a 4 acre lot and don't spray anything either in the house or outside, neither do our neighbors, not that they live that close, or the county. And she hasn't been for a walk in weeks due to her toe sprain, so I'm not sure how that could be? The only thing I can think of is maybe she ingested some dangerous weeds as she was eating some grass Tuesday evening, but wouldn't that show different on the tests? And she's not been around the pool chemicals either since she can't go in the pool she's been barred from the patio for the past month. DH is to pick up some additional meds and I told him to ask if it was reversible or how much damage? I'll call and speak to the Dr at length when I return. Meanwhile he said she was still a bit droopy but was sleeping with all 4 in the air last night and gave him a roooooo this morning meaning she's feeling better! He's having issues getting her pills in so adding 2 more to the mix should be fun....
