Nothing I can describe will make you understand the thanks I feel for getting to share Shuggie's life with her. Nothing I can write can make you feel how much my heart is breaking. It's all only words. I can tell you that Shuggie was fun. And silly. I can tell you that Shuggie would Roooooooo like no other dog I've ever seen. When she was excited, she'd roo. And she was excited a lot. She was full of fun with a young heart and she loved her life. You could just tell. I can tell you that I didn't see this coming. That it all happened too fast and I had no time to prepare. That I didn't want her to go. That I loved her as much as I love anything else in my life. But, that won't change a thing. So, Shuggie, thank you. Thank you for the joy you gave me. Thank you for the giggles I had at your expense. Thank you for caring sooooo much everytime I walked into the house. Even if I'd just been at the mailbox. For you, it was a reason to celebrate. I love you Shuggie. You had us from "Hello". You deserved it all. I can't say "I love you" enough But I think you know. Run free, my sweet girl. You've been healthy all your life. Until the last two weeks. Until the last unbearable 24 hours. Run with the wind. Play and chase. I will miss you and I'll never ever forget you. There is a new star in the sky, somewhere, tonite. The hole in my heart feels just as large. Wait for me and I'll look for you.
