patricia Posted February 28, 2009 Share Posted February 28, 2009 Flippy's pathology report came in, and she has Stage II/Grade II Mast Cell. The prognosis is 4-5 years with no further treatment, if the tumor had been completely removed. It wasn't because of the location in her neck, so that shortens the time considerably. My vet gave me a couple options, that include taking her to OSU for a more aggressive surgery to remove the rest of the tumor, or leave her be and do chemo, or do nothing. I'll be exploring options with OSU, so I can make an informed decision. Keep the healing thoughts coming. Baby girl has a long road ahead of her, but she won't be going down it alone. Thanks everyone. I know your fears so well. Our very young Pavé Maria was just diagnosed with Mast Cell on Wednesday. We are headed to OSU Tuesday.
