He is definitely in my prayers for an uneventful surgery, and a quick recovery. Joy, you are right, he will not have that osteo pain when the leg is gone. Which leg is it? Get some rest now, and please let us know how your boy is doing. Caesar's amputation went great!! He had trouble urinating this morning and had to be catheterized, but I'm bringing him home tomorrow where he will get plenty of rest, hugs, and kisses, oh, and of course Tramadol. Caesar's right hind leg was amputated. His cancer was up in the top of the bone close to the hip so this was a more difficult removal. Most vet surgeons have done very few of these, but the surgeon felt confident about this surgery. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for my boy with the big over bite.
